The Mellon Program in Urbanization and Migration (PUM) at Princeton University's Office of Population Research (OPR) promotes international research and collaboration between OPR and affiliated demography centers in Cuba, South Africa, Colombia, Thailand, Argentina, and Uganda. The visiting fellows program provides access to all of the resources available to OPR research affiliates. Summer research competitions strengthen intellectual outreach to pre-doctoral students and faculty colleagues at Rutgers University and other units within Princeton University. PUM nurtures the development of migration research in developing countries by sponsoring dissertation field research projects for young investigators in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
